Aimed at saving dryliners time, money and effort on site, ITW Construction Products has developed and launched the Spit Pulsa 700P, the lightest and best balanced gas fixing tool available. The Spit Pulsa 700P will tackle a wide variety of jobs around site but is particularly suited to fixing suspended ceiling angle-bars, metal lathing, drywall track and timber plates to concrete. With dryliners spending around 50% of their operational time working overhead the Pulsa 700P features a number of important new features to make the job easier.

The new Spit Pulsa 700P is part of a new generation of 100joules fixing tools and has been designed by ITW with increasing productivity for dryliners in mind. As well as its 3.6kg weight and designed-in balance, the Pulsa 700P works effectively at any angle and requires only 5kg of actuation force, making overhead working virtually effortless. Because it is cordless and quick to set up, Pulsa 700P allows users to work and move quickly and effectively without restriction.   

The Pulsa 700P has been designed with a number of new features to make drylining work quicker, faster and with fewer interruptions. Its powerful motor drives 15mm-40mm nails and has a magazine capacity of 23 pins with a 3-pin lock out.  For further productivity increases a 40-pin magazine is available as an accessory.  Each fuel cell will fire up to 650 nails allowing a 150-nail wastage factor. The new battery design has a 1-hour charge time and will fire approximately 1,000 nails before needing a recharge.  A new intermediate storage position stops the battery falling out of the tool or discharging when not in use; a highly popular feature in recent tool trials.   

The conical shape of the pin guide has been designed to allow perfect expansion of the nail skirt and the telescopic nose requires little effort when fixing overhead allowing better fixing quality particularly for ceiling applications.  Depth of drive can be precisely controlled enabling nails to be countersunk into timber.
